Handmade chopsticks set with holder

  

Handmade set including one hexagonal vessel/holder and 12 pairs of chopsticks. Vessels are available in nine different combinations of domestic and exotic wood species (one primary and one accent). Chopsticks are paired in an assortment of woods also used in the vessels.

Species include: Walnut, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Black Locust, Sycamore, Yellow Pine, Douglas Fir, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Hawaiian Koa, Sapele, Pau Ferro, and Wenge. Each set was made by hand with surfaces finished using a Japanese hand plane capable of taking an extremely thin shaving.

This leaves an almost glass-like smoothness and sheen that is virtually impossible to achieve with standard sanding. All wood is finished with a combination of all natural food safe oils and wax. Instructions for proper cleaning and care included.
