This ring is a solid 14k yellow gold vintage (probably 1960s - 1970s) black onyx ring with an oval face and nothing but a nice flat black onyx in the center. No prongs to get caught on clothing, just smooth and comfortable to wear. The ring is really in very good condition.

As you can see, there are a few scratches in the gold on the polished portion of the face, but the brushed shoulders and shank are not scratched at all. It just needs a bit of polishing at a jewelers, and this would look like new. The ring features a shiny black onyx gemstone set within a raised, polished gold bezel in the front, and brushed shoulders and shank. The face measures just under 3/4 north to south.

The ring is hallmarked 14kP (P for Plumb Gold, a vintage term meaning solid 14k, no more and no less). Also a maker's mark of MM, with the crisp, clear hallmarks evidencing little wear. This handsome onyx ring weighs a hefty 7.3 grams and is a size 9. It can be sized by any competent jeweler.
