Vintage 1979 Slingerland Drum Set - Model 670T Blues Time in Black Beauty finish. 1978-79 Slingerland Drum Set - Model 670T Blues Time in Black Beauty.
This is a custom ordered, single owner set bearing the Niles Badge and made in Niles, IL. They are 5-Ply Maple throughout and are in all original condition except for replacement of the Black Pin Stripe Remo Heads due to overall wear. This set was used on hundreds of gigs and always moved and stored in the hard fiberboard cases with handles which are included with the sale. This set features a pair of #64 Heavy Duty Tom Tom Stands and a pair of #88 Cymbal Boom Stands as well as an extra #87 Cymbal Stand, a #160 - Bass Mounted Double Tom Tom Holder the original Yellow Jacket bass drum pedal and a CB Percussion Drum Throne. This set does not include a snare drum or snare stand.
These vintage Singerland drums tune up and sound great! The set overall has signs of some pitting and corrosion on lugs, hardware and stands. There are signs of wear and tear on some small areas of the tom tom shells due to vibration. The bass drum hoop shows some wear from the bass pedal and head adjustments over the years.Inside of lugs show signs of pitting and corrosion. Entire set is in tunable and playable condition and still sounds great! Please be advised on the condition of the overall set. Wrap is tight on drum. Shell and bearing edges are in nice condition.
Original Tone-Control present and functions properly. Original Slingerland pin stripe batter head.Replacement Remo Pin Stripe batter head. Pitting on chrome and hardware. Top Hoop has some corrosion. Original Telescopic series chrome bass drum spurs. One hoop has wear from pedal.
Hardware is in nice condition over all. Could use a nice polishing. These drums have lots of character and sound great! Ready to add to any vintage collection!
